Payment Methods

Wedgefield University for Kids has contracted with FACTS Management for the 2026–2027 school year (online.factsmgt.com/login). New parents should set up their accounts immediately after enrolling a child. Several payment dates are available for monthly plans. There is an annual fee of $55 per family, charged by FACTS on the first payment made.

Registration

Due upon enrollment or re-enrollment. This charge covers testing, library acquisitions, furniture, instructional and playground equipment, summer maintenance, and membership in the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) and American Association of Christian Schools (AACS), which provide legal oversight, teacher certification, and school accreditation. The fee is $150 per student for all grades and is assessed to your account.

Tuition

Tuition is usually paid in 10 payments, August through May, and pays for faculty and staff salaries, benefits, and daily operations of the school.

A late fee of $20 is assessed each month a payment is late.

Discounts

Two students in the same family, living at the same address and billed as one account, receive a 10% discount on annual tuition; three receive 12%; four or more receive 15%. There is no discount on registration or book fees. A 5% discount applies to annual tuition paid in full before or at Open House. Active military families new to WU4K in 2026–2027 receive a 5% tuition discount for the first year. All WU4K families can receive referral credits for students who enroll because of your recommendation.

Book Fees

Book fees must be paid by Open House, since books cannot be distributed until they are purchased. The fee is assessed to accounts in June so payments may be made in increments or all at once before Open House. See the "Workbook and Class Fees" page for the most current costs.

Daycare

Students who arrive for early care, stay for late care, or attend on days the school is closed are charged a daily or weekly rate per child.

Other Fees

A graduation fee is due for all graduates — Kindergarten $40, 5th grade $45, 8th grade $50 — covering diplomas, cap & gown, and a reception. A withdrawal fee of $50 is charged if a student withdraws after the first day of school.

Refunds

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Book fees are refundable if the books are totally unused. Unused tuition is refundable, prorated at the daily tuition rate based on 180 days.

Past Dues

Parents whose accounts are 30 days in arrears must submit a written payment plan to the School Board for approval to maintain enrollment. All records and report cards are withheld until tuition and all other school fees are paid in full. Students may not attend the first day of school unless the account is current.

Students who withdraw or transfer after enrollment confirmation are subject to a withdrawal/transfer fee of $50. Fees are non-refundable and apply in addition to any tuition obligations.

Wedgefield University for Kids has my permission to discipline my child in love. The non-prescription medications listed below are available from the school Health Room Assistant. Please read the list and indicate which medications you are willing for your child to receive by checking those medications. If you wish for your child to receive any other over-the-counter medications, you will need to fill out a Medication Authorization form, available from the Health Room Assistant.

Acetaminophen (Tylenol) — 325 mg Regular Strength Tablets (dosage according to age). For simple headache, minor muscular aches, or cold discomfort. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) — Oral Suspension Liquid (dosage according to weight or age). Ibuprofen (Motrin) — 200 mg Regular Strength Tablets (dosage according to age). For cramps, simple headaches, or minor muscular aches. Menthol Cough Drops — one or two during the school day for bronchial congestion and cough due to cold. Antibacterial Ointment — topically for minor cuts and skin abrasions. Calamine Lotion — topically for insect bites, poison ivy, etc. Orajel — topically for gums, for relief of minor toothache. Lip Balm (Blistex) — topically for relief of chapped lips (individual applicators). Sunscreen / Insect Repellent — topically applied (when needed) during outdoor activities.

Video Surveillance Packet p. 13

Wedgefield University for Kids is a home away from home and a place where children can come to have fun, learn, explore, and grow. Parents can trust that their child is safe in a secure, warm, and friendly environment. Security is present throughout the facility by video surveillance in the center and outside. We have locked doors to the buildings, lighted outdoor parking facilities, and authorization cards for parents to select various individuals to pick up their child. Picture identification will be needed to pick up children until staff get to know the parents and families of the child. We request parents and guests to call the center to schedule a tour to learn more about our facilities. This is for the safety and security of all the children and adults at the center. We have an open-door policy for the parents after enrollment of your child.
